Come on, P!

Left atrium line...gone.
Chest tubes...gone.
Dialysis tube... gone.

Next up is the breathing tube. They are testing him now to see if he can initiate his own breaths for 2 hours (one hour down).  Come on P!

Heart rate is still erratic, but his blood pressure looks great.  Docs are reassuring us. Echo today showed a stronger heart.

Thanks for the prayers.  This morning seemed harder than the day of surgery, but things seem to be looking up. He is waking up and is not a happy camper. It will be worth it though if he can come off this vent.

Still hoping to try to extubation this afternoon.

Come on P!

You've got a lot of people cheering for you.

Tiffanie,
I am a patient of Dr. Shipman and I have seen you before in her office. I just saw her today, and she told me about your sweet Preston. My heart just melted, and I told her the story of our Jackie, almost 3 years old now, who was diagnosed at 5 days old with Transposition of the Great Arteries, Coarctation, VSD and ASD. She had a 12-hour open heart surgery at 10 days old at TCH. I have been in the very same places there, waiting and crying out to the Lord for my baby girl. He is in the best hands there, as I am sure you know. I will be praying for him, all the things you have asked for, and for you and your husband, that the Lord Jesus will carry you. Please don't hesitate to call me if I can be of any help or support, 281-492-6990 or 281-748-4050. Jackie's carepage with her full story is "JacquelinesCarePage" at www.carepages.com. I have also written about her and posted a video I made called "Jackie's Journey" on my blog www.watchkeep.blogspot.com, or on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHlmvgvjKn4
Sincerely,
Amy Smith
