Mr. Gherkin

Some of you have asked why I refer to my hubby as Gherkin.  I wish I could say I came up with that nickname, but he's had that nickname since his childhood. In fact his childhood friends and their parents still refer to him as Gherkin.

So here's the story...

a couple jars of pickles

a little hill rolling

+

a little vomiting

Mr. Gherkin

This also explains the pickles part of pineapples and pickles

TMI? Nahhhh, hilarious? Probably not for those that were there? I bet most thought Pineapples and pickles had to do with you being pregnant and cravings..., NOT

So glad you are home with your little family, so happy all your hearts are well and melting together and so excited to read your regular ramblings and see your adventures of life on here!!

Hahahaha! This is kind of gross but such a cute/funny story. I guess we all can't be lucky enough to have our childhood nicknames NOT follow us forever.

Hahaha, how funny! I just assumed it was a name you'd given him. But everyone calls him that?! So funny, as is the story of how he acquired the name!
