Preston's Birthday: Part Three

You can read part one here and part two here.

Preston was born at 10:11 a.m.

Sweet P's in her arms.

Neonatal starts their assessment

Starting lines...

Taking core blood...

Footprinting...

Daddy came out at some point during all this.

A worried daddy looks on...

The docs let Team Preston come in to see him before transport to the CVICU.
(The docs didn't realize just how many team members were present and they all flooded in)

Love, love, love all the emotions of this picture.

Footprints melt my heart.  (And he has his dad's feet without a doubt).

Before transport to the CVICU, they brought Preston to me first.

Members of Team Preston flooded in to catch this moment.

They couldn't get the door open fast enough...

reaching in...

Awww, the best moment of my life... as his little hand grabbed onto my finger.

Look at that peaceful face.
I felt like he was saying "Don't worry, mommy, everything will be alright."

Nothing short of a miracle.
God has been so good to me, to Preston, to us.
All the heartache and worry over the past few months...
completely washed away by this miracle and totally worth it.
I feel complete.

All things work together for good to those who love the Lord, to them who are called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28

What wonderful pictures and memories of Preston's story. That last picture just melts my heart. These special "heart babies" are so strong and resilient --- much stronger than even their mommies and daddies :)
