these shoes are made for walking ...

... because that's just what he's doing.

Preston's been taking a few steps at a time with a few tumbles and one black eye the past couple of weeks, but on Tuesday, December 20th, he took off for good.

I think he was ready to start walking, but I bought him some Wee Squeak sneakers (you can hear them in the video) and I actually think that encouraged him to start taking more steps (because what baby's not absolutely in love with making noise.)

He's so much fun (best age yet).

lol As a child care provider with 16 years of experience . . . those shoes terrify me hahahahahaha! He is SOOOOO stinking cute, but the shoes would have to go. I heard those three or four steps and thought, "No ma'am!" I can just hear seven toddlers in squeaking shoes. Miss Melanie would have a special cubby for them to sleep in while they were at school! lol

Ohhhh, the fun has just begun! Mommy better get HER walking shoes on! Way to go Preston! I can still remember this time last year, being so excited for his arrival yet so nervous! He's growing up too fast!

Yay, look at him go! My son is right around P's age (not walking yet)and I'm always thinking how this really is the best stage yet! So much fun seeing them grow and learn more each day! Congrats on having a 'walker.'
